FAQ
Where are you located?
We are located at 390 S. Liberty St. in downtown Winston Salem, NC. We meet at The Children's Museum of Winston-Salem. Check out our Location page for directions and details.
What do I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in! If you are a jeans and t-shirt person, we want you in jeans and a t-shirt. If you are a suit and tie person, rock that tie! If you grew up in a church with hats that would make the Kentucky Derby look like child's play, by all means, add some flair to our service with your favorite hat!
When is the service?
Our service starts at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm on Sundays. We recommend you arrive a few minutes early to grab a doughnut and some coffee from our cafe', say hello to friends, and grab a seat to prepare for worship. Doors to the Auditorium open at 10:45 am and 5:45 pm. If you have children, we recommend that you get there early to check them in to rWorld, our children's ministry. (rWorld is only available during Sunday morning services.)
How long is the service?
Our worship services last an hour.
What can I expect?
Big things, because we expect big things! You can expect to be loved and served in a big way on Sunday morning. You can expect every detail of your visit with us to already have been considered, discussed, and prayed over. You can expect to feel comfortable and at home from the moment you pull in the parking lot. You can expect loud, authentic worship, but don't worry, we provide ear plugs. You can expect worship styles that are as diverse as the people who are worshipping.
Is there childcare?
We provide childcare for children age 6 months to 5th grade on Sunday mornings only. Visit the rWorld page for more info on our fantastic children's ministry. During our 6 pm service, rWorld is not avaialble and we ask that you make other arrangements for your children who are in 5th grade or younger.
How can I give?
We provide many opportunities for you to give that are tailored to your lifestyle. On Sunday morning, we have a traditional time of offering. For those who look at checkbooks in the same way they look at tape players, we have an "eGiving" station set up in the lobby. You can also visit our Giving page on this site for online giving.
How can I serve?
We provide many opportunities to serve, both in the community and on Sunday mornings. For opportunites to join our Sunday morning volunteer team, visit our Volunteer page. For any questions regarding serving, feel free to send us an email.
What if...
I'm a single parent? One of our goals with our children's ministry is to provide the single parent that one precious hour where they can just sit back, relax, worship, and know that their children are taken care of.
I'm disabled? Our facility is completely handicap accessible. It was recently renovated to comply with all standards and building codes concerning ADA compliance.
I forget my diaper bag? We know Sunday mornings can be hectic, and that it is easy to walk out the door without your diaper bag. This is why we always have extra diapers, wipes, bottles, sippy cups, bibs, and burp cloths available.
